The Wildcat football team traveled to Statesboro and defeated Langston Chapel 32-0. The defense had their first shutout of the season. Aiden Grant led the defense in tackles, Tyler Gilbert recovered a fumble, and Xavier Cherry led the team in tackles for a loss. On the offensive side of the ball Omarion Gregory, Kirk Scott, and Mathias Clark each had a rushing touchdown. Caleb Easterling also had a long touchdown reception thrown by Kirk Scott. Let’s pack the stands and cheer on the Wildcats next Wednesday as they take on an undefeated Effingham team.

Congratulations to our Student Athletes of the Week, Aubrey Ragins and Sydney Henry. This is what Coach Rider had to see about these girls. Aubrey Ragins - She has truly stepped up in rookie of the year fashion being a 6th grader. She does it all...from pitching to being our lead off batter. She does not shy away from pressure and no doubt will shine on the future of our softball program! Sydney Henry - She is a leader by example on and off the field as one of our 8th grade veterans. The need for her presence on our team goes without saying because she is a determined and hard working individual that is essential for our team to compete! Way to go Aubrey and Sydney! #WeAreRHMS

As part of our 9/11 tribute, Richmond Hill Middle School participated in The Wreaths Across American National Call to Wave Flags, the campaign to honor the victims and those affected by 9/11. Students lined the roadway and waived the American Flag for one minute at 8:46, the exact time the first plane, American Flight 11, flew into the World Trade Center’s North Tower. Our resource office, Officer Harwood, drove through with lights on as an additional tribute to the first responders who lost their lives. Check out a video of our tribute here: https://vimeo.com/456989116 #WeAreRHMS #FlagsAcrosstheCountry #AmericaStrong #NeverForget
